Terms of Service for Nucu Pad Rental

1. Overview

By subscribing to the Nucu Pad rental service, you agree to pay a recurring monthly fee for the rental of the Nucu Pad device. This service includes free delivery and returns. The first 3 months of the subscription are non-refundable. Your subscription will continue automatically unless cancelled.

2. Payment and Billing

  • The rental is billed monthly in advance. By subscribing to the Nucu Pad rental initially, you agree to pay the monthly rental fee for the next three (3) months, after which you can cancel the subscription. Payment will be processed through the payment method you provided during checkout.

  • If payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method up to 7 times within a one-week period.

  • After 7 failed attempts, your subscription will be paused, and you will have 14 days to resolve the payment issue. If payment is not received within this period, your subscription will be cancelled.

  • Discount Code Usage
    All discount codes are specific to either purchasing the Nucu Pad outright or renting it via a monthly subscription. Discounts offered for one purchase method cannot be applied to the other. For example, a -10% discount code for purchasing the Nucu Pad does not apply to renting it, and vice versa.

Rent to own: Nucu is yours to keep after 12 months of rental

If you keep your subscription for 12 continuous months, the Nucu Pad is yours to keep. The maximum you will ever pay for one subscription is the full monthly subscription price * 12.

3. Subscription Pausing and Cancellation

  • 14 day return period
    You have the right to return the product within 14 days of receiving it. During this period, you may inspect and test the product in the same way you would in a physical store. However, all items and original packaging must remain intact and in sellable condition.
    If you decide to return it, we may charge a fee based on the rental period. If you wish to return the product, please contact Nucu customer support for instructions.
  • If your subscription is paused due to failed payments and is subsequently cancelled, you are required to return the Nucu Pad device within 14 days. Failure to return the device within 14 days will result in a charge equivalent to the full retail price of the device.

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time after the first 3 months. If you cancel partway through a billing period, the remaining days of the subscription period will be refunded upon the return of the Nucu Pad, excluding the first 3 months, which are non-refundable.

  • To account for the delivery period, you can continue using the Nucu Pad for 7 days after cancellation. After this period is over, you’ll need to return the Nucu Pad to us using the prepaid return label we provide.

4. Delivery

  • After placing a rental order, we will ship you the following items usually within the next working day:

    • The Nucu Pad

    • Controller for the Nucu Pad

    • Magnet holder for the Controller

    • User Guide

    • USB-C Cable

    • Bassinet mattress (foam) OR Crib Mattress (60x120cm crib, foam)

    • Bassinet frame (foam) OR Crib Frame (fits a standard 60x120cm crib, foam)

5. Returns

  • At the end of your subscription or after cancellation, you are responsible for returning the Nucu Pad, the Controller, the magnet holder and the USB-C Cable to us using the prepaid return label provided. Failure to return the device within the stated period will result in additional charges.

  • You may keep the foam mattress, foam frame and the user guide that are included in the rental package.

6. Device Ownership

  • The Nucu Pad remains the property of Nucu Oy throughout the subscription period. You are responsible for ensuring that the device is used according to the guidelines provided and is returned in good condition. Damage due to misuse may incur additional charges.

  • If you have kept your subscription continuous for 12 months, you can keep the device as your own.

7. Modifications to Terms

  • Nucu Oy reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website.

Return & Refund Policy for Nucu Pad Rental

1. Return Eligibility

  • You are responsible for returning the Nucu Pad, Controller, magnet holder for the Controller and USB-C Cable at the end of your subscription or upon cancellation.

  • The foam mattress, foam frame, and user guide included in the rental package are yours to keep and do not need to be returned.

  • You are required to inspect the products upon arrival and before use for any potential damage and make sure the Nucu Pad, Controller, foam frame and mattress, as well as the USB-C cable is included in the package. If anything is missing or severely damaged, you must report them to us immediately to be eligible for a refund.

  • After subscription cancellation, you have a 7-day free use period to account for delivery time. After that period, the required items must be sent back to us within 14 days. If the Nucu Pad and its accessories are not returned within this time frame, you will be charged the full retail price of the missing item.

2. Return Process

  • Upon cancellation or the end of your subscription, we will provide you with a prepaid return label.

  • You are required to securely package the Nucu Pad, Controller, and USB-C Cable in their original packaging or another suitable package. Use the prepaid return label to send the items back to us.

  • You can continue using the Nucu Pad for up to 7 days after your subscription cancellation while preparing for the return. After this period, the device must be returned within 14 days.

3. Condition of Returned Items

  • The returned Nucu Pad and its accessories must be in good working condition and free from significant damage beyond normal wear and tear.

  • Damages resulting from misuse or neglect may incur additional charges, which will be communicated to you after the return is processed.

4. Failure to Return

  • If the Nucu Pad, Controller, and USB-C Cable are not returned within the specified 14-day period after subscription cancellation and the 7-day free period, you will be charged the full retail price of the missing item.

  • The Nucu Pad rental service remains active until the device is returned. If no return is initiated, you are responsible for ongoing charges until the device is received or the 14-day window has passed.

5. Refunds

  • Refund Policy for Early Cancellation: If you cancel your subscription partway through a billing period (after the first 3 months), any unused days in that period will be refunded once we receive the returned Nucu Pad and confirm its condition.

    • Monthly rental price / 30 * (30 - Number of days between latest renewal date and cancellation date)

  • First 3 Months are Non-Refundable: The first 3 months of your rental subscription are non-refundable.

  • Refund Process: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of the rental subscription.

  • Refund Timelines: Once we receive the returned items and confirm they are in good condition, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days. Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

  • Refund Exceptions: If the Nucu Pad or its accessories are returned damaged due to misuse, additional fees may be deducted from your refund or charged to your account.
